finish the dissertation

Just about to finish my preliminary exam and turn it into my committe, I feel like I’m making progress.

One member of my committee recently told me, “Take your prelims now! There’s no reason to keep putting it off. You won’t know more six months from now than you do now. You’ve read enough.”

So I keep putting it off, telling myself I need to read one more book to be better prepared. Meanwhile, I can’t actually start my dissertation until I take this step. Yuk. My goal: take prelims before May.
