Fifth Top 5 Goals  — 4 months ago

Well I got my digital camera today, so I’ve revamped the list.

Current top 5:
1) get up when my alarm goes off I really need to do this. I’ve slept so badly the last few nights though…
2) get control of my anxiety I’ve been having real problems with this lately. I need to figure out some strategies that will help; I don’t want anxiety to turn into panic again.
3) spackle the cracks in the walls Beh. I should DO THIS.
4) reach $10,000 in my savings account I get paid Thursday plus my savings interest should be coming in in the next day or two, which will add a bit. I still need to call stupid eTrade. I should be able to add about $700 from this paycheck I think. I try to keep my checking around $1000, plus money for bills (mainly so I don’t bounce a check, and around $1000 would cover my rent check if worse came to worse.)
5) get a passport I want to take passport pictures with the new digital camera, so this means we can move along on this!

Fourth Top 5 Goals  — 4 months ago

I forgot to replace my “switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs” goal, so here we go!

Current top 5:
1) use up the lingering and neglected ingredients in my cabinets and fridge
Big plate of buckwheat pancakes is scheduled for Saturday. Maybe something tonight as well.
2) donate my hair
I’ve been planning to do this for like… a year. I think it’s finally long enough and we are planning to chop it this weekend!
3) spackle the cracks in the walls
This weekend?
4) get a digital camera
I’ll talk to Anthony.
5) reach $10,000 in my savings account
Backtracked today, but I still estimate this will happen in May. Perhaps mid-May instead of early.

Third Top 5 Goals  — 4 months ago

So I realized this morning that I actually forgot to check off the “stop snacking on junk at work” goal – which I guess speaks volumes about how I wasn’t even thinking about snacking on junk at work. Horray! The occasional treat is fine, but everyday noshing on stuff I don’t even enjoy is totally not.

Current top 5:
1) get a digital camera
I need to see if Anthony made any progress on this.
2) use up the lingering and neglected ingredients in my cabinets and fridge
I found some recipes for the buckwheat flour (pancakes, muffins, scones) but didn’t make anything. I also need to scrounge around and see what else needs to be used and make a list of it.
3) spackle the cracks in the walls
Still need to do this…
4) switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs
Estimating completion on Friday.
5) reach $10,000 in my savings account
Estimating completion in early May.

Second Top 5 Goals  — 4 months ago

Second batch: Passport application has been completed; I think that I am going to wait and get a digital camera to do our passport photos and finally apply so that I can do them myself. It will be cheaper, and I can guarantee that the photos are flattering – thus, “get a passport,” while not completed, has been replace with “get a digital camera,” which I feel is the next step in that process.

1) get a digital camera
I have assigned this to Anthony with a price of under $100; shouldn’t take too long.
2) use up the lingering and neglected ingredients in my cabinets and fridge
In progress; not sure how long it will take. I’m going to look for buckwheat flour recipes now, actually.
3) spackle the cracks in the walls
Didn’t do this. I have everything I need, I just need to do it. Maybe tonight.
4) stop snacking on junk at work
Will complete today.

My order has shipped with an ETA of Friday.

First batch:
I’m going to make this somewhat easy, with a bunch of things that I’m planning to do anyway, but that’s fine. Just means I’ll get to cycle to other things quickly, and hopefully that will start some momentum.

1) get a passport
I will do this tomorrow… I think.
2) make my own lotion
I will do this tomorrow.
3) spackle the cracks in the walls
I will do this tomorrow?
4) stop snacking on junk at work
I will complete this on Monday.
5) switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs
I will complete this as soon as they come in the mail.
