I tell people that I want to go to Japan to improve my Japanese, whereas I could improve my Chinese simply by speaking to my mom. I guess I should actually call her at some point.

My spoken Chinese isn’t terrible, but my literacy is horrible. I think a year in HK would do me good, but that’s plan B if I don’t go to Japan.
