try new things

I’m going to Magaluf with a friend soon for a week, can’t wait! Never been to Spain before so it should be cool – lots of clubbing and things! We’re also intending to do things like jet skiing, banana boating and horse riding, so that’ll be good fun!

Bowling
I hadn’t been bowling for aaaages, but went last week and it was more fun than I remember

Brighton Gay Pride
I went to Brighton Gay Pride on Saturday, it was quite good but the weather let it down a bit as we got soaked, but after warming up and drying off a bit in Costa it was a bit better again and we went clubbing all night in Revenge, which is a really good club. Then we got the first train back home the next day. Was exhausted though!

Mystery Shopping

Gay Pride
I’m off to Gay Pride in Brighton in about 5 minutes! Will post about how it is when I get back tomorrow or Monday! :D

I’m in Austria at the moment and the different culture has given me a chance to try a few more things.. Though not that many as it’s my 14th time here.

Golf
We had nothing to do so we made a golf course in the garden… I’m rubbish :D

Painting
My Great Aunt is an artist and when I was younger I liked to paint, even though I was never any good. I did some painting yesterday… Reinforced the fact that I’m not any good.

Food and drink
I’ve tried some new foods here, mainly sausages… Not sure what they are though. They were ok. Also tried some stinky cheese. Didn’t like that!
Tried some Austrian beers and wines which were all really quite nice.

Normally I read books which are either romance novels or family sagas, but this time I chose to read Velocity by Dean Koontz, which is more of a thriller. I read 1/3 of it in one go and am really enjoying it! When I used to read books which are intended to scare then they would scare me in everyday life too, but this one hasn’t so maybe I’m not as much as a wimp as I used to be :P

There’s a fish and chip shop up the road which sells hot dogs with cheese, they’re really nice with either ketchup or mayo!!

Drinking Games Party
I hosted a drinking games party the other day – that was good fun! Will have to have another one next year :D

Happy Meal
I got a happy meal in Mc Donalds today :P Slightly immature but all good fun!

The Sims 3
I went into Game the day the Sims 3 came out and bought it! And the guy gave me a free Pokemon toy :D I was also persuaded into getting the collectors edition which came with the diamond shaped memory stick as the guy suggested I could walk around holding it above my head and pretend to be a Sim – after that I just had to buy it!!

New Film
I went into HMV earlier and bought Baise-Moi, not sure that I’ll want to watch it again but I guess it wasn’t the worst film in the world.
Also saw Angels and Demons in the cinema the other day – that was really good, even if it did make me jump twice!
These are both quite different to the normal films I watch so was good to have a change.

TV
Over the past few days I’ve watched more TV than I have in the whole year put together! Discovered that I do actually quite like programs like 8 out of 10 cats, Top Gear, QI and things like that!

Ring of Fire
I have played this a few times before, but recently more often and it’s actually really good fun! And think I’ve just about mastered the rules now! Alcohol really does not help me learn them!!

That’s all I can think of for now, but if I think of anything else I’ll add another entry!

Last night I went out in Guildford and decided that it would be a good idea to get the first train home in the morning… The first train is at 5.15am, and all the clubs and pubs shut by 2.30 so I had to spend nearly 3 hours hanging around by myself! I’m not too sure whether I’ll be wanting to do it again.. :P

I used Adobe AIR apps recently for the first time and think they’re great! And today just signed up to Facebook Connect on 43things… Not sure what settings to have yet – don’t know how much I want my friends to know about what I say on here! =)

I went clothes shopping a few times this week and decided to try on a shirt and decided that I liked it, so ended up buying about 4 different ones (casual ones rather than posh ones!)
