write poems

I’ve been writing quite a few poems recently, and me and a friend are going to be selling a poem book on CafePress very soon. I’ll post a link to it on here for anyone who’s interested in looking.

Well, last night when I was in the bath I decided to write poems… And yes, they got a little bit wet lol… They’re rubbish, but my excuse is that it was late… And they got progressively worse lol.

No. 1: This one is written about myself (but I’ll pretend it’s not as it’s embarrassing!)
I followed you around,
I had no one else.
You took advantage of me,
Now look where I am.

I’m all alone,
With nowhere to go,
No one to turn to,
Not even you.

I left you one time,
Just for a day,
You weren’t even aware
That I wasn’t there.

Now that I’m gone,
You can do what you want.
What do I care?
You were only a friend.

No. 2: This one’s not about myself.

I don’t want to go,
But I must move on.
This place is old,
And my time is up.

I will think of you,
And never forget,
The love you gave me,
Though I didn’t give it back.

But instead,
I ignored your voice,
And wished I was someone else.

But now I see,
How stupid it can be,
To deny yourself,
The pleasures of love.

I was looking for someone,
But not you,
You weren’t good enough for me.

If you could see me now,
You would wonder how,
You ever saw beauty,
For I am a woman,
With no purpose in life.
I gave it all up,
When I gave up you.

No. 3: Also not about me

I wanted you,
But you wanted her,
She wanted him,
But he didn’t care.

Now two years later,
You want me,
But it’s too late,
‘Cause I’ve got him.

Now I’ll pretend I didn’t just post them for the whole world to see…

I should have written one when I thought of this goal and felt like writing one… Now, whenever I have time to write one I never have any strong enough feelings to write about…

As it’s not very easy to tell when this goal has been completed I’ll give myself a number to write…
After I’ve written 5 poems I will tick off this goal… If it’s too easy I’ll change it later but I won’t make it easier!
