as it has become a habit now so I have no need to keep this on my list of things I want to do (because it is done)

I am at a point where I am now meditating every morning like clockwork. I do it without even thinking about it. I get up and automatically head to my meditation room. I have a candle, a bowl, and a bell. I also have a zafu which really helps. I am getting pretty comfortable in a physical manner with sitting. At this point, I am just trying to stay in the moment. My goal is mindfulness.
is just going very well. At least I do it every day for 30 minutes. I can say that I am FAR from perfect with it but I think I am better than when I started. I almost have to Meditate when I get up. It is automatic now. My posture is getting better but my knee’s still hurt and my legs eventually fall asleep after 20 minutes. I do have periods of time when I have no thoughts happening. Maybe 5 minutes out of the 30 but those 5 minutes are pure bliss!
This has been going well for me. I am meditating EVERY day for 30 minutes. I went on Ebay and bought a tibetan bell. I also bought a bowl for incense. The most important thing is that I got a Zafu and Zabuton. The lady is making it right now. Should be here in a week or so.
I will be at the point soon where I can say that I have done this!!!
while I was in NY City over the weekend but I got right back on track this morning. I was hoping to buy a Zafu in the city but I couldn’t find one. I am going to order one on line today.
Missed a couple of days this week but I got right back on the saddle over the weekend. Meditated Saturday, Sunday and this morning. I am thinking about hooking up with a meditation teacher. http://wtsir.net/index.html
It seems to be somewhat costly though.
Let’s see. I have been doing this since April 12th. Haven’t missed a day yet. The alarm goes off at 5:30. I roll out of bed and head upstairs to my meditation room. Set the timer for 30 minutes and meditate. It is going well so far. I have been seeing benefits.
I tried something that Thich Nhat Hanh recommended in his book – The Miracle of Mindfulness that I have begun to read. Lay down and practice your deep breathing before sitting meditation. Let the breath reach down deep into your stomach and when breathing out – squeeze the last part of your breath out. It worked very well and I feel like my best meditation yet was this morning. So far it is 12 days in a row.
I have been meditating since last Sunday so that is 9 days in a row now. 35 minutes every day. It is now becoming like clock work. I wake up everyday at 5:30, drag myself out of bed and go up to the 3rd floor. I am not going to say it is easy but it is simple. Sit, cross your legs trying to support yourself with your body and focus on your breath. When you mind wanders, bring it back to your breath. Pretty cool stuff! I can see some results already.
Hey….....this is starting to get easy. At least the getting up part. Still working on crossing the legs without them falling asleep and keeping my attention on my breath. Probably a lifetime work in progress
