Still at it. I have gloves that I wear sometimes, but I’m thinking of wearing them a lot more, like at work! Ugh.

I’m really bad right now, sore fingers and bloody stumps. The only thing that seems to work is the band-aids. But they are expensive, and I need to wear one on almst every finger! I bought some first aid tape, thinking I would wrap a bit of the paper-like tape around each finger. I’ll let you know how it goes :-)
I just found some Band-Aids that I think are going to work really well – Band-Aid Activ Flex Finger Wraps. It says they’re ultra-thin, inspired by skin. I’ve got them on both thumbs and so far, so good! It’s weird, it’s like they were made for us skin-pickers.
I’ve been picking for years, too. I did find that wearing acrylic nails helped – I wore them for about a year…but eventually I started to pick with them on anyway. I recently decided to remove them myself, because I was sick of wearing them and they weren’t stopping the picking anymore. And now my nails are so terrible! They’re thin and extra-sharp, ie really good for picking. But I’m going to try to be more conscious about the habit, and try wearing the band-aids, etc. Good luck to everyone else trying to quit.
PS – I pick at my feet, too. Does anyone else do this? :-)
