list one thing every day that was positive

went on my first audition in a long, long, long time. And I got a call back.

voted; got a massage; got a package in the mail from an online swap I’m participating in, and it was wonderful.

11.2.04- Finally heard the voice of someone really important to me that I really, really care about after a long time, and I know he’s okay; heard back from a writing job that wants to hire me.

11.3.04- heard back from a contact who may become a client in the future for my photography; bought a print from an etsy shop I’ve been wanting for awhile

9.30- went to dinner with my friend and had a good meal, plus some left over for the next day; gave her daughter her birthday presents, which she really liked; my friend thought of me while she was at a gig and brought be back some cool swag

10.1- went to an apple orchard, took pictures and bought cider donuts and cider; went to a barn sale where they had some great antiques, took some more photos, found a vintage sailor uniform for six bucks that fits me perfectly and will make a great Halloween costume; it was a beautiful day; wore one of my favorite skirts

got psyched about applying for a writing job i was thinking about applying for just in theory and i found out that it actually is available; met my deadline for my article early; it is lovely and warm out; new clothes; saw my parents; figured out how to do something important; feeling upbeat

6.20.07- volunteered at the animal shelter

6.21.07- bought necessary publications

6.22.07- volunteered at the animal shelter; went for a walk around town and got little gifts for myself: curried chicken salad, olives, lychees, coated peanuts, and a poster i had wanted; got an unexpected phone call and ended up going down to the city and having drinks and dinner at a new place while sitting outside

6.23.07- listened to This American Life; had coffee; went to the Park and walked around and it was so beautiful out; ran into people tango dancing and took a free class right then and there; had dinner at a place i knew about; practiced tango in the street

6.24.07- slept late; got an unexpected invite to go on a daytrip with my friend to our alma mater and the surrounding area so i took a shower and left and got to spend the day with my good friend and time in a town i absolutely adore and miss; talked to a friend on the phone i hadn’t talked to in awhile

6.25.07- wrote an article; figured out what i’m going to make for my mom’s birthday dinner; it’s beautiful out

6.14.07- they fixed my toilet!!!; my dad talked with me

6.15.07- cleaned my apartment; volunteered at the animal shelter and a family came in to adopt a dog; had my friend over for dinner who just came back into town for the summer; went out for drinks with that friend and met up with a friend we hadn’t seen in a long long time; ran into a friend i hadn’t seen in awhile and stayed out rather late; grilled cheese at 3am

6.16.07- went to the farmer’s market in town and got eggs and rubbarb and plants; stopped in to a new small art gallery in town; went grocery shopping for father’s day

6.17.07- made my dad an awesome father’s day lunch, and cooked all morning while listening to NPR; spent the afternoon with my dad having a delicious meal and lovely conversation; met up with a friend and had mojitos and guacamole and then met up with a few more friends for drinks

6.18.07- my friend gave me an practical gift i’m very excited about; i made myself a nice dinner—just for me :)

6.19.07- got up early; applied to a bunch of acting things; went to a FREE yoga class i found out about; made the first steps on my secret project; had a nice talk with my mom

6.11.07- found out i got a little writing gig; got my paycheck in the mail

6.12.07- did some writing; was tired and was actually able to sleep!

6.13.07-

-volunteered at the animal shelter: a few of the dogs had been adopted since i’d been there last; there is a new dog there who is really sweet; walked a couple of new dogs; walked the dog who’s my buddy and spent some quality time with him

-submitted my first piece to this new blog i’m writing for.

-went grocery shopping and listened to radiolab in the car

6.9.07- slept in, cleaned my apartment, listened to podcasts of RadioLab, went to dinner with my friend who actually came to visit ME, then hung out at MY apartment for awhile and watched a few episodes of a cancelled too soon tv show on DVD

6.10.07- went to the city and met up with my friend and his wife, whom i’d never hung out with before; i had a migrain but i think i pulled it off; we had brunch and went for a walk by the water and talked a lot, it was nice; then i went home and watched the Tony Awards

6.7.07- went to an exhibit openning at a museum and saw interesting art, had free food and wine, got to get dressed up, saw people i like, had interesting conversation, met up with a good friend, it was beautiful out

6.8.07- the light was beautiful in the morning, it was a nice warm day, i got some business taken care of, i bought myself a present, my migraine went away, i heard from my friend who i was concerned was being a flake, talked to one of my good friends and we may be getting together this weekend, i feel positive
