stronger shoulders 21 months ago

My shoulders are much stronger now. Result of increasing my push up routine and other general training. I’m going to start to practice supporting my weight in full… still a little nervous about my previously injured shoulder.



Headstands 23 months ago

I can do a decent headstand, and I use a meditation pillow which actually raises my head up fairly high above the ground, so I’m in the handstand position. But I’m afraid to kick up against the wall in the handstand position. I just can’t get myself to do it, like that game where you have to fall backwards into someone else’s arms. I’m going to need a spotter to help me the first few times until I get my confidence. In any case, I’ve cleared an excellent spot in my bedroom to practice.



practiced a bit 23 months ago

cleared a space in my room, i.e. found a wall… just did some headstand positions, which, after grappling with the slight vertigo you get when trusting that the wall (or your upside down self) will hold you from toppling, I decided I was surprisingly good at. Did not attempt handstand positions yet, as I need to take some art work off the wall before I go kicking things down on my head. Next time.



postponed training due to injured shoulder 2 years ago

I’m nursing it back to health. Got to work on the smaller, stabilizing muscles before attempting a handstand.
