How I did it: I read on the tube to and from work during the week and whenever possible when travelling elsewhere.My 20th book was one of my many Seattle guidebooks that I finished reading during December.I think that I'll attempt this goal again. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Sounds like a bit of a cop out but my music collection is 80Gb so it would have taken forever and a day to rate manually - after 18 months of trying I'd only rated about 20% of it. I found a program called Autorate through the apple website which rated all of my songs automatically based on play count and number of times skipped etc. Seems to have done a reasonable job too and only took 5 minutes to complete the process. In light of my imminent move to Seattle I have sold my double bass. sorry to see it go but there was no way I’d be able to cheaply ship is across the atlantic – it wasn’t worth a huge amount of money anyway. I think I’m going to buy a piano when I arrive instead.
This goal will therefore be on indefinite hold for a while now…....
First objection on this is to list out all my current goals and identify whether each goal is currently S.M.A.R.T and if not then redefine the goal as appropriate.
As I’m going to be leaving the UK at the end of the year I’ve been working at this pretty hard for the past 6 weeks. Already managed to clear out a lot of items that I never use, about £300 worth of stuff so far. Aiming to get rid of everything that I don’t need/not attached to and that I wouldn’t be planning on taking to Seattle. I think I can reach a total of £600 – £700 within the next month. Plan on doing even more selling over the Christmas holidays.
