I’ve loved writing since I was little. Haha, I would write these stupid little stories entitled “The Haunted Underwear” - or “The Slippery Piece of Cheese” - Or, “The Girl Who Died.” I was a bit weird. Anyway, thank goodness I’ve some more sense now and know what sort of writing is trash and what sort isn’t.
Writing is to me so essential to my character. I’m not very good at writing, but it’s still something I love no matter what. I write in journals very often, but I never really write my own short stories or anything. I was in an obsessive poetry phase during the end of last year, but that has passed. Gosh, that poetry phase really did improve my writing, though, and also my perception of the craft of writing and the meaning of things.
It has always been my goal to publish a book in my life, and I still intend on doing so. But that will be a long time from now, however—unless it’s a children’s book or something. I read a quote somewhere once that “to be a [good?] writer, one must first be a student.” That’s entirely true. How can you write a profound piece about anything original, unique, significant if you don’t even know anything about anything!
My simple goal now is to improve my writing through study, practice, experience, observation, etc. I want to start writing a bunch of short stories.

I never ever have any communication with horses in any way whatsoever. I only ever come close to it when I pass some horses from a stable when walking along the Soos Creek Trail. That’s about it.
I want to take horseback riding lessons, and probably will in the near future. But, for now, I’m just going horseback riding on Sunday for about three hours on a guided trip with a group of strangers. Hah. I hope I have fun. I’m really looking forward to it.
I’ve only been horseback riding two times in my life before. One time was when I was REALLY little in either kindergarten or before it, and so I can hardly remember that incident. I just remember gliding above the ground with an adult walking next to me and there was a bunch of nature surrounding me. The other time was when I went with my girl scout troop, and I was probably about 8 then or so. That was for two hours and my legs were really sore the next day. Hmm… I wonder if they’ll get sore when I go horseback riding on Sunday?
I’ve seen a worn-down looking middle eastern restaurant before, somewhere around where I live. It’s the only middle eastern restaurant I’ve ever come across. And I better get there before they go out of business or something.
