the biggest thing is smoothly releasing and engaging the clutch and making sure you have the gear you really want. having the proper gauges in the vehicle helps as a Tachometer is almost a reqirement for learning each vehicles particular area where it likes to be shiffted for the typ of driving you do. some vehicles can spin the engine to the moon and if there is no gauges telling you just how fast or slow the engine is damage from either not enough speed (lugging) or over reving could happen, where as an automatic will more or less center its self at the best RPM for the job. in other words dont try to drive on the freeway in first and dont try to start out in 3rd…
