Sleep more
Yaaaawwwwn! 10 months ago

I am sooo sleepy today! Of course, it would help if I was getting more than three hours of sleep per night:D Wish I could say my lack of sleep was due to something fun, like a wild night on the town. Fraid not, though. Try studying, stress, possible combination of both? Anyway, I’m sure paying for it today.

Not enough hours in the day 10 months ago

I just spent a very relaxing day yesterday playing hooky from work and only doing things that I wanted to do.

Between work, school, and the kids, I pretty much run myself ragged for other people 90% of the time. This is my life and I am quite happy with it, however, those few solitary hours I spent on my own this Thursday was the most relaxed I have been in a long time.

I wish I could carve more time out of my busy schedule for myself. Doesn’t matter how long…could be as little as an hour a day. Just time enough for me to answer an email, take a phone call, read a chapter from my book, nap briefly, or just not talk for awhile.

I’m not saying that I don’t love spending time with my family, but there is something to be said for alone time…helps keep me sane, I guess. Lord knows, I could use more of it…free time, not sanity. Well, ok, maybe both:D

Maintaining equilibrium 11 months ago

Seems so selfish, doesn’t it? that a little thing like news from a friend should send me into a tail spin.

I am better this week. I think the reason that this upset me so was that it removed another possibility from my list. One of thos ‘what if you were stranded on a desert island’ kind of things.

I am striving to be happy for him. No…I will be happy for him. I was happy and content with my life prior to this news, I shall be again…hopefully soon.
