How I did it: My college sent out notices that Obama would be interviewed live by Chris Matthews for the MSNBC Hardball College Tour. At the time, I didn't know who I was going to vote for, but I bought a ticket because I wanted to see someone who would be part of history whether he won or not. How I did it: A local amateur astronomy group lined up an astronaut to be a guest speaker at a meeting in my home state of Pennsylvania. The group leaders sent out an alert about the guest speaker, and it included his biography stating that not only had he been to space, but had also done extra-vehicular work while on his space shuttle mission.
