Coldplay (particularly Chris Martin) is the main influence and inspiration for my own music. Chris has inspired me lyrically, instrumentally, and even vocally. Through his music and voice, I’ve found my own specific style. My band has covered seven of what I consider to be the finest Coldplay songs, and we’ve gotten a terrific response to it (especially Amsterdam). Being that he’s the main inspiration for my music, I need to see them live. Anytime they’ve been near, work prevented me from going. Not anymore. The next time they’re anywhere on the Eastern seaboard, I’ll be there.

I found out a few weeks ago that I’m pregnant. This week I’m 2 months along. It was definitely not intended and unfortunately I won’t be pursuing a relationship with the father, but I’m looking forward to knowing my new little person. :)

I started learning to use Photoshop several years ago. I was able to teach myself how to use nearly every feature it offers, and I became excellent at editing photos and creating graphics. When I started to study graphic design in college (which I did for only one semester), I took a Photoshop / Illustrator class, but I already knew everything they were teaching about Photoshop. My professor was kind of pissed off that I knew the stuff, and it made me sad because he actually didn’t like that I finished my projects so quickly and ended up with free time. It was stupid. So, the lesson here is, learn to use Photoshop, but if you study graphic design, don’t let your professors know that you already know how to use it. :P
