How I did it
How I did it: Spent 5 months in Damascus and travelled around Syria. I made the effort to not speak English for periods. ie. no speaking English (even with foreigners) for a week / a month. Sometimes I appeared rude, but I was there for language immersion, not to swap tourist stories with other english speakers. Read how I did it…

My (subtle) chemical romance!

Have been taking gingko biloba and a general memory supplement to help me along. I’m hoping this will be me an extra leg up in learning languages. I think it works, but if it does it works in a pretty gentle way because I don’t feel any massive change.
