I have realised that I really do get in a rut with clothes…I just can’t be bothered to give that much thought to what I put on…so I will tend to put on the same outfits day in, day out, and forget to even look at things hanging in the cupboard. I did wear some completely different things for a week or so after I last thought about this one, and it was refreshing!

They have a general clearout twice a year when you can put anything out to be picked up that you can’t throw in the rubbish, so I pushed myself despite still having a bad cough and the air being quite cold outside, to put as much stuff out on the kerb as I could….I put out my baby boy’s stroller, which he will never use again….......Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, sob, boohoo, sniffle, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah…........oh gosh, bit of momentary regret consumed me just then, so many memories of his little head being gently placed in the stroller after I lifted him sleeping from the car. What have I done? Thrown out memories….oh well, it was just sitting down in the garage getting mouldy, as he is after all turning 5 and a half this month.
Also threw out an old pink tricycle that was my 15 year old DD’s when she was little! And lots of junk as well, so the garage is definitely less cluttered now.
1. My 15 year old daughter entered me into a Cover girl competition! Very funny really as I am so not cover girl material, but extremely sweet of her. I saw the coupon she had filled out to send off and she wrote “My Mum is my best friend. and she still looks so beautiful for her age, even after all the things she has been through.” I got quite teary after reading that she wrote that about me.
2. I’m happy we were lucky to get a cancellation today for an appointment with the allergy specialist, as my son had an anaphylactic reaction to nuts last week, for the first time ever and it was very scary and led to a night in hospital.
3. I have been entering some scrapbooking challenges, and I found out I won a $5 voucher! Not a lot of money but it was still exciting to win and every bit helps.
