Everything is going well. Got through my first year of college really smoothly in June, had a fun summer, finally met a girl (didn’t work out, but still a positive experience), met some new friends too, had a great birthday this November (Everyone wore hats and we had alcohol), the rest of the year I’ll spend working and studying for my exams in January. (except Christmas and new years eve of course)
I’m not stopping here either, perhaps someone dying can still ruin 2008. (you never know)

I kind of already play instruments. I play the djembé, make eerie
sounds on the theremin, and seek the best baselines/drumrolls I can do on the pc.
But nothing good enough. If I had someone to play with (someone who can play), it’d go better.

Last months post is still true. Except now I have a lot less spare time, and I haven’t driven for three weeks.
I’m learning the maneuvering by myself, without the experienced driver. but thus not on public roads.
(I’m almost 20 and I still haven’t got a license)
I’m driving stick-shift. And I like driving.
I don’t get why all of you start with automatics, It’s not much easier, and it’ll be a lot harder to go manual later on.

Okay so it’s over a year now, I only have to learn my maneuvers (parking and turning).
I drive well otherwise; should make time for those maneuvers.

Javascript isn’t very useful if you don’t know any DOM.

Done
I already knew html and css.
Now I know xml, and everything it comes with it: XPath, XSL, XSLT even xaml.
Next stop ecmascript.
(I’m leaving xul out till after javascript)

I’m studying xml this spring, and it’s still really easy. I hope it gets harder, you know, for the challenge.

I dual boot ubuntu and XP on my pc for about a month now, and I haven’t yet booted to xp. (well, once, to see if it still works)
I still want to try some other distro’s, I’ll do that once I’ve found the time to get all my files out of xp and uninstalled, so I can use the hard drive xp is on.

I’ll learn some other languages first. I know vb.net and I’m learning Java. I don’t thinknow is the best time to do it.

Conversion from image to vector was on a low resolution so It has got all flat edges now. But to people other than me, it’s just as unreadable as my real handwriting.

I’ve wanted to do this for a long time. Now I learned it in school.

I did my theoretic exam in June (~). I don’t practice enough. I still want it before next year. It’s not like I’ll have my own car or anything,I just want it.

This makes it easier to do whatever you want in your own country, like piracy and stuff. It might be harder to get officially recognised as an independent state by the United Nations. You need land every piece of land on earth has already been claimed, so you need to get that country to give it to you (micronations don’t win wars). You need a constitution and a reason to be.
Unless of course you meant imaginary states.

I don’t have the extended versions, I’ve seen all three normal versions separately. I give up this goal. If someone invites me to an extended LOTR-marathon, I will come. Do invite me I’ll even bring beer or food.

I might retry this goal later, I set this goal before I knew what I was going to study. We get taught VB.net and Java this year, next year something else (I think C#,I’m not sure). maybe once I’m graduated I will learn perl for fun, résume, or anything else.

It’s almost over, not enormously awesome really, but still one of the really good years. I’ll try to make 2008 like tenfold as good. Goodness of a year is a fuzzy variable, so it’s hard to measure it on a scale. I’m considering it done.
Here’s to 2008. [http://www.43things.com/things/view/1669948/make-2008-my-best-year-yet]

Not only don’t I have the time for it, I just don’t want to any more. It doesn’t mean anything to me. I’m not supposed to learn Elvish anyway, Elves are smarter so they’ll learn Human.
