My entire life I played sports. I was always participating in practice 3-5 days a week depending on the season. Since I was 4 I have participated in many, many, many sports (gymnastics (4 years), soccer (4 years), basketball (11 years or so and I was on a AAU team and school team at the same time), softball (about 16 years – always played for school and a summer league), tae kwon do (about 9 years – loved the competition part), tennis (6 years – played for the school mostly with some tournaments outside of school). So needless to say I was one busy person. Most of the time I was participating in at least two sports at once. I was always working out.
Since I graduated from college and stopped playing sports my body and my mind have both been on a workout freeze. It reminds me of playing sports or at least I feel like I should be going to “practice” everyday in order to workout. I have been working out at a gym near my house for a couple of years but even then I feel like I should be doing more than using the treadmill.
I have decided that I am mentally prepared for exercising outside of sports. This could be fun right? I plan on working out at least 5 days a week with heavy cardio and some weights and watching what I eat (portions and carbs are my weakness).
Sorry I wrote so much!
Good luck to everyone who decided to take the step and get back into shape!
