hmm… so the season in which one can drive back the six hours home and then the three hours north to hike in a dozen miles or so and hammer and hack and drag logs around is pretty much closed. Trying to figure out a way to make the whole process easier in the spring but I think that would mandate moving back closer to the Adirondacks.
Think I’ll just have to coordinate a little closer with the folks doing it so as to be there most effectively, rather than just slotting in where I can.

Posted on Craigslist that I was looking for a cruddy guitar, lots of responses, ended up having a fake Strat made for me by a guy two blocks or so away from me. I’m naming it Penis Metaphor.

Yeah, would kind of be an overstatement to say that I learned Japanese but the very nature of the language makes a lot of my Japanese friends feel like they haven’t really learned Japanese either. It’s a bottomless language.
I lived in Osaka for about a year and a half, taking weekly lessons at the Osaka City learning center for a little over a year of that. Adding that to the year I studied back in college (freshman year) and I can hold a pretty decent conversation with the average 4 year old.
As much as I’d love to be able to speak it better, there’s a million other skills I find more neccessary in my life that are demanding my time… moving on to learned Spanish (hopefully).
