I attempted to give myself a foot tattoo of a sailboat a few weeks ago with turquoise ink that I took from a gift shop. The ink was with a calligraphy set so I figured it’d be permanent and safe like other calligraphy ink. I did the tattoo and it looked neat for a while, but faded drastically after I took a shower and then continued to fade into almost nonexistence. My conclusion is that the ink was water-soluble (I also spilled some on the floor and it was easier to clean up than it should have been). Solution: I got some black India ink yesterday. Still have yet to go over the tattoo.

I’ve still been doing this somewhat, but transferring the dreams to here less so. But I wanted to share a discovery. I saw the movie Waking Life for the first time a couple months ago(it’s about dreams, specifically lucid dreaming, and it’s a great movie). There was a recurring scene in which the main character could realize he was dreaming by looking at a digital clock and not being able to see the numbers correctly; they were all jumbled and moving. Recently I rediscovered a notebook in which I’d written down dreams a while ago, maybe a year or so. I noticed I’d written a couple of times that I couldn’t see the time correctly, things like “I couldn’t tell what time it was” or “I looked at my phone to see the time and realized that I was on acid.” I thought this was neat because I was unaware of the phenomenon when I wrote those things, and if I’d realized I probably could have lucid dreamed.
First I need to build a raised bed, since the soil ‘round here is unsatisfactory. But before I build a raised bed I need to find pieces of wood. Preferably for free. I’ll be on the lookout.
