I have to overcome this shyness with my music! I think something that I fail to realize that if people don’t like my music, they don’t HAVE to listen to it, and that it’s a great expressional outlet for myself and is my true passion. I put off doing music because I get writer’s block quite a bit, but any music is better than no music. I want to push the boundaries and explore!

...the way you’d want to be treated! And this includes not avoiding your friends just because you have a sudden impulse to be alone or don’t have funds to go out and have fun with them. A recent situation in my life left me worried that I was about to find myself depending on my friends more than ever before, and made me question, would I really want to be there for me if I were them? Even questioning that made me realize that it shouldn’t take the situation I was in to realize that I might need to be a better friend in general!
When I was young, I made a pretty stupid decision in that I chose to follow my then-boyfriend up to the college he was going to and went to a nearby community college. My parents offered to take out the necessary loans to put me through The Art Institute of Ft.Lauderdale where I could have pursued a dream career in Graphic Design. I could KICK myself now because I’ve got no sort of degree whatsoever and graphic design places, while they appreciate raw talent, usually want someone with some credentials. Not long ago I found an internet site called Elance.com that is a central house for people looking to freelance their abilities as well as people looking for people to help them with projects. Within the span of just a couple months I raked in about a grand, and this was all through jobs I did in my spare time after 40 hours at my actual job each week. I enjoyed the work and learned a LOT just in the short amount of time, but I burned myself out a bit, working late hours on things and obsessing on trying to make the perfect portfolio. But it was GREAT extra income and it would probably help with one of the goals I already have on 43things which is to beautify my home!
