What the hell does that mean anyway? It’s so subjective… Does it mean making a living at it?... I don’t think so (though I would really like to). I think maybe its becoming a master of your craft, and even then, striving for improvement. I think its expressing yourself in new ways. I think it’s giving something to the world, whether at be great change, gratitude, a little piece of yourself, a smile, pause in life where they think of something other than the things that stress and sadden them, and much more.
I want to be a comic artist. I am a comic artist. I just want to share it with everyone. I need to make this a priority in my life. Creating these little strips is probably my greatest joy. If I can make a career out of it, great! If not, I will continue to live and earn a living, but this is what I am, and I can’t change that.
