How I did it: There is no better way to enjoy the 4th of July than running in Atlanta's Peachtree Road Race. It's the largest 10K in the world with 55,000 participants. I've run this event 7 times and really enjoyed it. It's very exciting. It's also very hot, extremely humid, and very hilly. Getting that shirt at Piedmont Park makes it all worthwhile. How I did it: I have run this 10K 6 times. It's a blast. Approximately 35,000 people run or walk from Mt Pleasant to Charleston across the Cooper River Bridge every March/April. It is a lot of fun!!! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was living in Atlanta when I hiked Cohutta Wilderness. There are a lot of trails in the wilderness. I recommend the Jacks River Trail and the Conasauga River Trail, both done as out-and-back overnighters. The Jacks River Trail fords is 16.5 miles long and fords the river 42 times.
