I’ve been working on this for well over half a year, now. I’m stuck at the beginning. I guess it’s because I’m not working that hard ont it, but when I realize that something makes me happy, I’m always sure to stick it on the list. Here’s the first few:
1. The octopus webcam at the National Zoo website
2. The atmosphere at my favorite Mexican restaurant
3. Developing black and white photos
4. Soft, fuzzy things
5. Books that make me laugh outright

I went monday and they x-rayed me. All four of my wisdom teeth were impacted. They wanted to scedule the removal for Tuesday, but I put it off until today (Thursday).
Well, I woke up really early this morning and went to the oral surgeon. I sat in the waiting room with my mom for like five minutes, and I was even early. They took me back to a little room and the lady hooked up the blood pressure and finger-clampy thing to me. We had a conversation about pet peeves and having a few days off from work. The doctor wasn’t at the office yet (well, it was like 7:45 in the morning) so I sat there for around 20 minutes. I knew it was twenty minutes because the blood pressure thing blew up every five minutes. He arrived, and then there were like five people in the room. The nice lady put on the laughing gas, but the nose didn’t fit on me too well (I have a big nose). They stuck the IV in me and I remember the doctor calling me “pumpkin”.
I woke up in another room. I was alone for a minute or two until they brought my mom in. I had the gauze in my mouth and my tongue felt like a raisin. The nice lady rolled out a wheelchair and took me to my mom’s car. We drove away. And that was it. Not so bad, right?
It kind of hurts now. It’s just a dull, constant pain. Not intense or anything. It hurts to swallow, though. It was really difficult to take the first pain killer because my mouth was still so numb. I gave up on the gauze really quickly.
I just recently bought a cute little bento box. I just need an excuse to use it this summer. I’m not going to be packing Japanese food in it, though. But I’ll be trying to make it cute and yummy.
