I uploaded #8 to DeviantArt yesterday after a couple of months without any sort of artistic effort whatsoever. I’m working on it! 12 more to go!

How I did it: I hired my BFF to paint the walls for me after picking out the color. Everything else I assembled over a couple of months as I had the money. Some of the decorative objects I already had, and a few I got at Ikea and Target and so forth. The blue henna-esque painting above the medicine cabinet is my own work. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well, I sold my novel, and in doing so realized that I've always known exactly what I'm passionate about doing--writing, of course. And whatever my future holds, as long as I can keep writing, I'll be doing what I'm here to do and what I love above all things. It only took me 32 years to realize that. *laugh* Read how I did it…
How I did it: The story's one I've had in me for about ten years, and apparently it was just waiting for its time. I fell into a sort of trance and was unable to step away from the keyboard for over a month--I finished it Friday afternoon, June 19. Now comes the hard part, finding an agent. That's always been the part of the process I feared most, but I believe in this book, and I'm not going to back away from the scary parts anymore. Read how I did it…

I’m in the process of finishing the bathroom—I had it painted a lovely pale turquoise, and have been gradually replacing the decorative items as well as the shower curtain, a few towels, et cetera. I’m going to do a painted border around the mirror and I’m waiting for a print to arrive to hang on the wall…oh, and I need a new rug. After that I’ll call it done.
Next up: the bedroom!
I’ve been meaning to turn a set of fics I wrote ten years ago into a novel for quite some time, and a month or so ago I just decided, screw it, time to stop procrastinating. I’m about 1/3 of the way through it and having a great time. :)
