I have been in ‘Second Life’ for over 18 months now, and it is enchanting! I now build thatched cottages,churches, Palaces, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, and I have just finished an Opera House! I have met and chatted with hundreds of interesting intelligent people I have met from all over the planet. People actually pay me real money for my work! My building skills are improving daily, and I have learned more about computers and making textures than I thought possible. The quiz here named me as ‘A Romantic Self-Knowing Builder’ which I find immensely gratifying and true. I trained as an Architect in ‘Real life’, but in ‘Second Life’ there is no eternal struggle with Planning Authorities! I can design and make what I do physically dream of: I have even built a copy of the house I will be building next in Real life, and can walk around it and add the walls, floors, and furniture. It is very satisfying and much more fun than watching TV every night alone!

It will be an underground ecohouse, totally insulated, with photovoltaic roof, so that a heat-pump drives the heating, cooling, hot water, airfiltering, and pump to drain the 4-bed basement tank, as the site does flood. I will never suffer from cold, fuelbills, or hayfever and dust allergies again… And I shall have 3 hives of honey bees in my garden, as i seem to be the only person on this site who wants to SAVE THE BEES!

Now all I need is the cash to build it, so that is what I am wishing for now!

..but oh, I still enjoy my ten-a-day so much…

It has become so socially unacceptable to smoke these days, that the health of my social life is severely damaged by this habit.
