One of the amazing things about doing a charity expedition is that you can go to places of the world you’ve always wanted to see, without the enormous cost that comes with it. Not only that, but you can raise money for a charity of your choice. I would choose the British Heart Foundation. Getting to do something I’ve always wanted to do, as well as raising money for a charity that means something to me, would be incredible.

How I did it: My method was simple, I just read a book - Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking. I thought it was a bit of a joke when I got it as a birthday present, and I was more than a little shocked to find that it actually works. I smoked 30/40 a day for 9 years and I quit after reading this book. With the money I'm saving on cigarettes, I'm doing a backpacking tour of Italy next year AND going on holiday to San Diego! How I did it: It's so much easier than you think it is. If you're not a big saver but want to give it a try, like me, here's what I suggest. Get a money bag and at the end of each day, put your loose change in it. Don't count how much it is, don't even think about it, just shove it all into the bag and put the bag away. It helps when saving up for a birthday or Christmas because when you check back you'll have more than you expected! It's an especially… Read how I did it…
How I did it: My friends and I had the bizarre notion to revive the art of letter writing, since everyone focuses on keeping in touch through the internet. To make it interesting, we all put our names in a hat, shook it up, and each person took a name out. Don't show anyone who you got! If you get your own name, obviously put it back in.The fantastic thing about this is that it's surprsingly rewarding. Your letters don't need to be about anything speci… Read how I did it…

Always wanted to visit New York! Until the smoking ban, one of the main reasons was to sit in a basement jazz n blues bar with the foggy atmosphere, drinking whisky. That dream is no more, but I’d still like to visit!
