My capoeira class stopped for the summer and when it starts again next month, there is only one class (no beginners!). I attended two of the ‘big’ classes at the end of last term but absolutely froze when it came to taking part in the roda. I’m nervous about starting again, but I wanted to take part in this class for about five years, and definitely wouldn’t have started without a beginners class last year, so feel that I started at the right time and that it would be a real shame to give up. So why haven’t I paid my money for the new class?

How I did it: My friend decided to go, and I decided to spend the money and go with her. Take the camping option rather than staying in a lodge. Nights under canvas with three Maasai warriors with huge spears guarding your camp against lions. If we got up to go to the loo in the middle of the night we had to flash our torch to let them know it was us, so we weren't speared. Read how I did it…
I found out yesterday that my husband doesn’t like being up ladders, so I’ve painted our facia (fascia?) boards at the front and back of our house. It feels really high up, and I’m pleased with myself for being able to shin up the ladder quite quickly, even if I come down quite slowly.
I applied for an education officer’s position at a local arboretum, that I could walk to, but it’s been two weeks since the closing date and I haven’t heard. I so want an interview!
