I hate comcast. I’m a firm believer in capitalism, so I’m making an extra effort to not support bad business.
I still have comcast for internet. However, I suspect I’ll try to switch to another provider within the year.
Regardless, my goal of getting into baseball would be significantly hampered with being unable to watch the games. I’ve since decided to take whatever money I would be paying for cable, and spend it on the Mariners. I’ve been going to a lot of games, and with my iPhone app, watching a lot of games’ progress pitch by pitch.
I bought MLB2k10 this year, and it’s taught me a lot about stats and fundamentals of baseball. It also gave me an appreciation for pitching.
Recently, I’ve been working on my RSS reader, and managed to get a baseball tab going. Most of the blogs are Mariner’s specific, and with the exception of the Seattle Times, amateur. They do, however, offer an amazing understand of the game, and really vocalize what the Mariner’s should be held accountable for.
Overall, I’ve increased my Mariner’s games from 2 in 2009 to 7 in the current year. I’m fairly excited, as this is the first sport I’ve even remotely followed closely.
