Well, I’m currently 3 weeks post op from scoliosis surgery, and i’m doing quite well so far. I’m able to sit for quite a long time without needing to go and lay down, i can walk moderate distances, and the pain’s relatively controlled. What i really want to do is recover enough that i can go out and do things i used to do, even if it’s still a bit painful. 2 days ago i proved i can manage going to the cinema, and last night i found i’m definitely not ready to go out to bars and clubs (not fun when you’re in pain, almost completely sober and can’t dance) Hopefully I’ll be ready for that once uni starts in 6 weeks!

Since the surgery I've had my moments of thinking "why on earth did i choose to put myself through this?" especially as most people go into hospital in pain, and come out with less and i did the exact opposite. That's usually when I've just woken up though and I'm particularly st… Read how I did it…
