Take yaje
Apparently this is Amazing

Ayahuasca is a sacred concoction traditionally taken by the Indigenous people in Colombia. It’s not a recreational drug like people take in the West – it makes you vomit violently – but the visions it gives you can change your life, bring up deeply repressed sources of suffering, and cure depression.

move away (read all 2 entries…)
Greetings from Latin America

Finally bit the bullet and left my home town. Am now residing in Bogota, Colombia, for the next six months!

At last

Held back on meeting him for years, and dreaded the moment all the time so have procrastinated for ages. Turns out he’s just a nice guy, a little eccentric, but that’s it, nothing to do with the shadow that’s lurked in my head for so long. Curious so see the origin of half your genes and notice tendencies you have in common, not to mention appearance (a rough indicator of what you might look like when your older, and what health problems might crop up).

Would really recommend doing this before it’s too late (my dad’s 70), if anything just for curiosity. I think it helps to have a sense of distance from whatever happened in the past, and don’t have too many expectations because you can’t hope to make up for the years but you might develop some sort of relationship, or not as the case may be.
