Aside from wasting lots of time on the couch, I enjoyed it. This show is totally awesome and I can’t wait for next season!

Big Brothers Big Sisters is always looking for volunteers. Also, nursing homes usually don’t object to volunteers coming in and reading or talking with residents. Hospitals are a great way to start, too. I started in a hospital and ended up actually working in the E.R. which was pretty exciting, if not disgusting.

It’s actual work. No one seems to realize this. You don’t get to just talk about whatever you want and play the music you want. It’s still fun, but just make sure you prepare for it and know what you’re doing because audiences are picky.
