I surprised a man who I didn’t know his name. But he is homeless and I have seen him for years now. At the expressway exit ramp where I get off at. I always give him a few bucks and in past years I have given him gloves, blankets and other things too stay warm through the winter months. But this last winter I hadn’t seen him around and I started to wondered if he passed away. But this last Sunday as I was getting off the expressway there he was. I asked him Where have you been?? He stated that he had a heart attack and pnemonia and had been in and out of the hospital over the winter. So I gave him what money I had in my wallet and told him not too leave. I told him I have been holding onto something since Christmas to gave to you. I drove back over there and handed him the $100.00 gift card to the local grocery store and a $30.00 prepaid phone card. So that he could call his family if he has any. He started to cry and said that he would like to give me a hug but he is so dirty and hasn’t bathe in days. But I didn’t care. I hugged him and didn’t care that all those people were beeping their horns and yelling at me. I finally know his name. It is Mike but everyone calls him Mickey.

Well I’m getting there. I thought about some of the items I was saving and said NO MORE!! I recycled about 200+ film containers and empty pill bottles. I had been saving them to use for flower seeds. So instead I keep only 10 pill bottles. And I’m a Princess House Consultant, but I decided that I don’t need to keep all of the old catalogs. Just 2 of each sales period. The recycling garbage man must have hated me last week. My recycling bins weighed a ton with all those old catalogs. I’m downsizing big time and feeling much better about myself and the way my house is starting too look. I even tossed the patio table that the glass broke. I had plans to replace the broke glass with a piece of wood. But said- Toss it!!!! And I told myself that when I get rid of the clutter and broken stuff in my shed. And I’m planning a huge yard sale. And then I will reward myself with a new patio table.
Well I still miss Desi greatly. It was really hard this past week. I put special collar covers on all my dogs for every holiday. And I didn’t feel right putting them on the dogs. I told myself not this time. But I know that when Easter rolls around I will battle the same feelings again.
