How I did it
How I did it: I've now given blood twice, which is the most I legally could have since my 17th birthday. It's a good idea to register and book an appointment before you go, otherwise you'll be waiting in a queue for ever. First they test whether you have enough iron by pricking your finger, then if that's okay they take up to a pint of blood. The needle hurts a bit going in and coming out but its definitely worth it.
