Ever since I moved to Austin, I wanted to live in one of the charming old houses with hardwood floors, and within walking distance of some of my favorite coffeeshops/restaurants. It really is a small dream come true. I may not stay in Austin very much longer, so it’s nice to fulfill this goal before I leave.
After a year working with various graphics, I would say I’m pretty skilled, though there’s always more to learn.
Let’s face it. I hate running, and my knees are shot from years of martial arts. I’d much rather ride a bicycle/do yoga. Cycling definitely seems like something I’ll be engaging in in the near future. But…i hate running. I had this goal going for a little while, but alas- no longer.
I’ve by no means finished the long journey to shred-dom, but i’m definitely improving. Guitar lessons are awesome because i’ll practice like crazy to avoid embarrassment. Plus i’m learning a lot of excellent music theory. Huzzah!

I made a honey twist, baking with soft tofu for the first time. Really interesting, though I think i overdid it on the yeast as it was rising like crazy. This was a lot like making kolache, so pretty easy, but time consuming waiting for the bread to rise and rise again. Worth doing, though, and it was a good recipe.
I’ve always seen pictures of the cherry blossoms at their peak in DC, and always thought they were gorgeous. I’m going in April, so i’ll be able to employ my new DSLR to take some gorgeous photos. :)
This used to be important to me, but priorities, and career focus, have definitely changed since I made this goal. So while i’m all for learning stuff along the way, I’m not going to go out of my way to learn this one.
Flash master. Need I say more? I think i’ll buy a wa-com tablet with some of the money i’m getting back on my tax return. woot!
I got a Canon Digital Rebel, and I love it. Though I need to use it a lot more.
I made this goal a long time ago, and honestly forgot about it. since then I’ve learned dreamweaver (in-depth, believe me. probably more than i want to know), flash, CSS, XHTML, and other web geekery. I’m pretty happy with my accomplishments so far, but I know i have a lot more to learn.
Now that i’m out of school and into the work force, i finally have a set time for dinner and have the actual time to make something fresh and enjoyable. It’s a huge money saver as well…and, as i suspected, i’m not half bad and only expect to improve as i expand my recipe collection.
college has been the best experience of my life thus far. but i expect it to be only the beginning. i did it :)
i know how to use it for basic functions, but i kind of want to go through a step by step guide that teaches me more advanced techniques so that i can make more complicated, interesting cartoons.
I’ve created one. it’s not the best thing in the world, but it definitely gave me a feel for flash and it’s capabilities. I’d like to use the newest version put out by Adobe- i hear it’ll have a lot better user interface, which really frustrated me with the current version of flash.
...it has a light leak, and there’s no denying it…but onward and upwards to a digital slr! i’ve been shopping around and have made it my new goal to get some sweet digital slr action :)
i’m not going to walk, but i do so love fireworks, and this gives me an excuse to wear the regalia without sitting through one million peoples’ names at the comm. school graduation. some nice closure to my university career :)
