I never liked red meat. It grosses me out…that texture! blech!! Chicken and fish is a different story! It will be easy at first but will prove to be a challenge in the long run.

I was a vegetarian for about 7 months last year for animal, health, and environmental reasons. I was doing really well but it was always hard when my mom kept complaining every night that she didn’t know what to make me, like she was punishing me because she felt I was asking for special treatment and my reasons for going veggie made her feel guilty for eating meat.
I was tired of always trying to politely explain myself when at someone’s house for dinner. It made me feel guilty that I was making people uncomfortable all the time and it was always a subject of conversation. People would look at me like I was an alien. I would have to constantly defend myself and I am not big on confrontation. So after a while I gave up. Not eating meat didn’t bother me. It was people who couldn’t mind their own business. This time I don’t care. I don’t care what people think and I’m not going to be so strict on myself at first. Last time I tried I went from omnivore to vegan right off the bat and then crept back into vegetarian. I can’t feel guilty if I mess up.
