Started...

Well, I’ve started walking. For three weeks I started walking twice a week, 20 min. each walk.
This week I’ve walked three times (20 min. sessions) and want to try to get at least one more walk in. Eventually I’m going to do some hour long walks. The weather is a bit rainy this time of year, but I’m going to see if getting up earlier helps. Sometimes I just have to catch the window of opportunity when it’s clear.

I want to try and get outside for at LEAST 5 to 10 minutes each day, no matter what the weather. (If it’s pouring rain, I can always stand on the porch.) And with my goal of walking, that makes it very do-able!

I live in a beautiful area, lots of fields with horses, so it’s a wonderful way to keep fit, and my dog loves to be walked. I started yesterday with a half hour walk. Eventually I’d like to do an hour long walk a day, which I was doing last year. Made me feel great.
