I hate it when I look back on places I’ve lived or things I’ve done and realize I have absolutely no photos of it. This year I’m going to try and take one photo each day. I know that what seems normal and mundane to me now may be a fond memory when I’m older and I want to capture that.

How I did it: I had an idea, then I thought about it for three years. A tattoo is forever. Please don't get one on a whim. I visited about 10 places before I settled on one. When you visit a place ask to look through their portfolio. Any place with tattoo designs you choose off the wall was out for me. Make sure they have some examples of the kind of tattoo you want to get (like a picture, cartoon, free style) in their portfolio to make sure they can d… Read how I did it…
How I did it: After I graduated college I quit my job and spent three months in Europe. I was in Eastern Europe for a month then biked through Italy for two months.I've traveled before to India and Peru for a month each but this was the longest I've been away. Now that I'm back I plan on traveling again this summer! Read how I did it…
I joined the Graduate Women in Science organization at my school a few months ago. The organization aims to encourage girls to pursue graduate-level sciences. This weekend we’re running a booth at a community science expo featuring profiles of famous women in science.
It was amazing when I was putting it together. I realized I could only name two women scientists, which is just sad. Did you know a woman identified that HIV was the cause of AIDS? Or that Harvard just hired their first female math professor last year? I’m hoping that through this organization I can show girls that it’s possible to be a successful scientist and have a family if they choose.
