Last Thursday I ran 9 minutes without stopping. This Thursday I’m supposed to do a 20 minute run without stopping, which would surely get me my 1 mile goal… if I can complete it. It might get pushed back to the following Tuesday depending on how my running partner feels. ...!

How I did it: First I collected my supplies:Freezer paper (I already had some, but you can get it at many grocery stores)Fabric paintA blank T-shirt (or tote bag or fabric or whatever)a foam pouncer (a brush or foam brush might work fine, something to apply the paint to the project)An x-acto knifeI prewashed the shirt the night before.Next I found an image to use. Searching "animal silhouettes" or other such searches in google image search was helpful.… Read how I did it…
I can now run about half a mile without stopping. I’ve been doing interval running with the Couch to 5k program. The most I’ve been able to run for is 6 minutes straight running. Thursday’s plan involves a 9 minute run period. I will find a way to get through it. That 1 mile goal will be reached… and soon. By the end of next week the program expects me to be able to run for 20 minutes straight. I run slowly.. but if I can run for 20 minutes straight, I will certainly hit my 1 mile goal then.
