keep my house clean (read all 4 entries…)
not doing so well... 1 year ago

It’s pretty hard to keep a house clean when it doesn’t get clean in the first place.

Make Firefox my default browser
makes internet life easier 2 years ago

Firefox is a wonderful browser. I’ve been using it for quite a while now, and I’m happy I’ve switched to it. It’s great for blocking pop-ups, for downloading files and whatnot, and much more. The only thing I don’t like is when some websites say that I have to use internet explorer. Everyone needs to get with the times.

walk my dog everyday
too sick 2 years ago

I’ve just been diagnosed with a rare form of chronic mono and I feel like crap. I don’t know if I have the energy to walk Mazie. We’ll see what the doctor says today.

dining room 2 years ago

After I eat breakfast, I’m going to tackle the dining room. It’s pretty bad. I’ve got school stuff piled all over the table – posters, marks, binders, books, paper, lots of random stuff I’ll just go shove in my office. I’m not cleaning the office yet, so it’s okay. I’ve also go china from our wedding that I need to get out of the boxe and put away. Fun stuff!! But first, breakfast!

living room 2 years ago

Despite being sick, I was able to spend an hour cleaning the living room – and it looks fabulous. Now they key is going to be keeping it clean. I’ve already messed it up a little with a cereal bow and a couple other things. Better put stuff away, right?? I WILL keep this house clean!!

get the house clean 2 years ago

Before I can keep my house clean, I need to actually clean my house to begin with. We moved in here 2 months ago and it still doesn’t feel like we’re entirely moved in. The living room doesn’t look too bad, but the surround sound still isn’t hooked up. I still have a pile of china that I haven’t unpacked and put away from our wedding. Our kitchen is NOT organized at all. I just put stuff in the cupboards when we were unpacking to get it all out and I haven’ done anything in there to organize it yet. And our bedrooms upstairs are ridiculous. Today I am going to get as much done as I can. I need to run to the store to buy a few things – like a curtain, door mat, garbage can – those kinds of things. I have a few hours, so let’s see how much I can get done!

be in a long term relationship
4 years 2 years ago

I dated my current husband of 3 months for 4 years before we tied the knot. You could call that a long term relationship. The key was that I wanted to be with HIM more than I wanted to be in a relationship. A lot of times we values ourselves on whether or not we are meeting society’s standards – like having a longterm relationship with someone. But I shoved that aside and saw that I wanted to be with him because I loved him and I knew it was going to lead to marriage. I dated guys in the past, and when I realized it wasn’t going to lead to marriage, I left. There was no point in wasting my time, love, and energy in a long term relationship if it wasn’t going to eventually lead to marriage.

swim in the ocean
part of the world 2 years ago

Swimming in the ocean is wonderful. It’s one of those experiences that reminds you that you are part of an amazing world. I loved the feeling of the water rushing over my body, sitting in the water and riding the waves. It’s incredible.

lose my virginity
if you wait 2 years ago

I lost my virginity with someone I truly cared about. Sure, he didn’t turn out to be my husband, but that’s okay. I was able to learn about myself – emotionally, physically, and sexually. When I did finally meet my future husband, I was experienced enough to know how to enjoy myself. The sex was great compared to when I first started. I’m glad that I did it when I did it because I lost it to someone who really cared about me, and that’s important.

watch the simpsons
on DVD 2 years ago

If you love the Simpsons, which I do, then it is worth it to purchase the show on DVD. They’re up to quite a few seasons. We pop them in every once in a while just for fun. The Simpson’s are a great way to just have a little fun and escape from reality for a little bit. Heck, the entire industry of television and movies is based around that desired escape from reality. Simpsons delivers. I love getting seasons of the show for my birthday or Christmas. Why? Because I love the Simpsons and they make me very, very happy.

see more films
someone to watch with 2 years ago

Watching more movies and films is a great experience so long as you have someone to watch them with, in my opinion. When I started dating my current husband over four years ago, he introduced me into a world of movies that I had never known before. The quality of movies can range from really bad to really great. Some of the great ones can be extremely entertaining, inspiring, motivating, thought-provoking, and so on. I love watching an entertaining movie. It’s a great mini-vacation from reality.

Keep a journal
to remember, to learn 2 years ago

I have kept a journal to remember the things I don’t want to forget and to reflect on the things I need to learn. A journal is like a friend who is a great listener. I love to write in my journal. I think the key to being successful with writing in a journal is to make a committment to write in it almost every day, and also to read back in your journal every couple weeks. I love to journal, and my constant goal is to keep it up.

Get organized
tonight 2 years ago

I will organize my office tonight. I will put the books on the bookshelf and clean off my desk. I WILL do it. Because at the end of the day I want to be able to look back and say, hey! I accomplished something that’s important to me. I won’t be able to do that until after work, but I have a few minutes before work, and I can clean and ORGANIZE the kitchen!! Here goes!! :)

stop procrastinating
no better time to start 2 years ago

As this is #1 on my list that I just created today, I feel like I might as well start on it now. So in about 3 minutes, I’m going to close my laptop, get up, and clean some dishes. I’m not going to sit here and keep telling myself, “I should clean the dishes.” I’m just going to do it. And if I can start today, who knows what tomorrow will look like (maybe I’ll have les anxiety?)

Have my first kiss
real kiss 2 years ago

I had my first “kiss” in 8th grade. But it wasn’t much of a kiss at all. My first really intimate kiss was in 10th grade with Kyle Christensen. And when did it happen? During prom of course. It was a great night.

buy a new mobile phone
my first 2 years ago

My mom gave me a phone a few years ago as part of her family plan. Now that I’m doing PSR, though, I need my own phone for work. I went to Cricket and bought the next up from the cheapest phone – and it still wasn’t cheap. It feels good to have my own phone, though. It’s fairly nice, too. It’s not as cool as the newest ones that play music and all that stuff, but it’s functional. It takes pictures, and I have unlimited texting, so I’m pretty happy with it.

Swim with dolphins
Discovery Cove 2 years ago

As a wedding present to my husband, I bought us (expensive) tickets to Discovery Cove where we got to swim with a dolphin, Lester. It was an incredibly experience. Swimming with Lester was the highlight of our honeymoon. We both teared up when we were doing it. It’s incredibly amazing and magical as well.

It’s important to note that the only way you should swim with a dolphin is in a controlled, authorized facility. Approaching dolphins in the wild is illegal and dangerous. Dolphins are curious and will play with you but it teaches them to trust humans, which is a risky lesson for them to learn. So please, respect the dolphins in the wild and give them their space.

Discovery Cove (through Sea World) is an amazing park. It was a very memorable and awesome experience.

graduate from college
struggle through it 2 years ago

College is tough. It requires a lot of motivation, drive, desire, hard work, time management, and much more. College is just another step toward a goal. I went to the University of Idaho and graduated in 2006. I am currently going to Graduate School. Learning is a life long process, and once you set your mind towards graduating, you can do.

I am proud of myself for going to college and graduating. It was incredibly hard and challenging, but as I look back on those four years, I’m thankful that I was able to push through. Having a degree gives me many more opportunities than if I only had a high school diploma. I have reached a higher level and it feels great.

learn to drive
and drive well 2 years ago

Not only is it awesome to learn to drive, but it’s important to learn how to drive well. Please don’t think you know how to drive and then hit me with your car.

I took Driver’s Education when I was 15 years old from the worst possible instructor. It was terrible. But when you get your license and you start driving, you get a new freedom that you have never known before.

Driving for me is a freedom to go and do what I want. I love that freedom and I wouldn’t trade it to save money or for any other reason you can think of to not drive.

My first car I bought with my own money was a 1983 Buick SkyHawk. It screamed freedom, even though it was incredibly ghetto. It was a car. And it was mine.
