Spent Xmas at home
Going home:) 26 days left. 3 years ago

this beautiful time of year is here on our doorsteps. it is such and overwhelming feeling:) i cant wait to see my Mum, Dad, my brothers and whole family. its been 8 long months since i’ve seen them last time.

all the memories held in my heart are coming alive, my Dad putting the Xmas tree up, Mummy baking all time favourite poppy seed cake. and that amazing feeling all around.

coming back home for Xmas is always special like nothing else in the enitre world.

spend more time with loved ones before they go
and life goes on 3 years ago

we found out that J’s grandma has cancer. at first we were left speechless, the silence on the phone is so heartbreaking and nothing else can be said apart from I am so sorry. and than when you are left on your own, constant question rattles in your mind… one day soon she will go and the life will carry on, we will be left with beautiful memories of a Lady who always gave us biscuits and cups of tea, she has always been there in that little bungalow with roses, pansies and heather in her front garden, with uderstanding heart and thoughts that can chase all the clouds away.

we only can hope that the place she is going to is much more brighter and colourful than our little home here on earth.

travel to New Zealand
An idea is born. 3 years ago

After our lazy holiday in Corfu, filled with only beautifull moments (many times with Mataxa and Ouzo hand in hand not forgetting Mythos and Amstel) we set ourselves another goal… next year… New Zealand. As our mid year resolution and something to look forward to i went down to our local library to get a Lonely Planet guide to New Zealnd.

So far we know that we are going for 6 weeks, three weeks for each Island.

i think it isnt such a bad start, taking under consideration misreable world outside, poured down with buckets of rain. at least we have established something:).

searching through infinite source of information i found a journal of a person who hiked through NZ few years ago. one thing stuck in my mind. before he set off on his epic journey he was walking every single day for 365 days with a 35 pound ruck sack. not to confuse things too much… he was walking one hour a day.

well me and jason have to work on that:)
