How to get my synology properly hooked up

How I did it: I learned a lot from setting up the synology. Unfortunately the setup of my network and connections sucks in my house. Also, my knowledge of networks proved lacking. Fortunately I have friends in nerdy places who came over and set the whole hing up for me. Downside to this is I still didn't understand how the whole thing worked. How to study philosophy

How I did it: My course wasn't to officially study philosophy at uni or something, so all I had to do was book a course and show up. Easy pteasy. I had two lessons so far, and I am quite enjoying it. The group is very small (5) but nice. A lot of the things about Plato I already knew, but it's helping me fine tune and also put things into context. Read how I did it…

8. Pontius Pilate 8 hours ago
  • Pilate is one of the few people in the story of the crucifixion of Jesus for whom there is historical evidence
  • In Ethiopian Christianity, Pilate is revered en there is actually a holy day for him
  • The 3 or 4 versions of the judging of Jesus by Pilate vary. In the first version Pilate’s innosence is mentioned, in the next he offers the choice of Jesus and Barabas and washes his hands, in the last he gets into a lengthy philosophical discussion with Jesus.

I just saw a documentary on Pilate on Nat. Geographic. Not very good (a lot of guessings and maybe’s) but it pointed out that, most likely, the scene of Jesus judging by Pilate was written in a way to clear the Romans of blame. A political move, to indicate to Roman authority that they had no conflict, pointing blame to the jews.

If this is the case (which is quite plausible to me) than the impact of some political grovelling added to the prosecution of the Jewish community for centuries. Sad.

10. Sushi 5 days ago

Sushi is a really fast, really easy dish and I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier.

Cook the sushi rice a day in advance. The sushi kit further contains a bamboo mat for the sushi rolling, some vinegar to stir through the rice, wasabi, soy sauce and a couple of chopsticks. Add some avocado, cucumber, salmon or whatever else strikes your fancy, roll the hole bunch up and you’re done.
