Realizing that you should probably eat healthier is not the most original thing to do at the beginning of the year, but it’s really, really important to me. I’ve spent the last year mostly being ill, on and off. I’ve had so many colds that I have lost track. I credit this to the fact that I mostly don’t go grocery shopping, but rather eat out or eat pizza or spaghetti, which somehow, miraculously, does not seem to give me enough vitamins to resist those evil little viruses.
Furthermore I don’t drink enough. I never have, but it’s becoming more of a problem as I grow older. There are days that I feel miserable and sick. And I always have chapped lips, which I can’t do much about with chapsticks or all others known remedies. Maybe drinking more will get me through the winter without someone noting that I should look into buying a chapstick. Pretty please?
I will now go shopping and it’ll be heavy on the vegetable side of things. I’ll probably have my beloved spaghetti, but I’ll mix it up with some real, delicious tomatoes and bell peppers. Maybe Wednesday should be my new healthy grocery shopping day?
