Got lucky. Grandpa payd it all up. Turned my life to the better.
So.. Have fun down there younglings ;)
I certainly made the most of it (although it put me into heavy debt and health is so/so) :)
GO GET SOME !!
On the 22 August 2008 I managed to strike alle the 250 films that were on the list !!
Not that it mathers, but the final strike was: ‘My Neighbour Totoro’
It’s taken me through a 3 year effort, and the joy is only toppled by the constant changes of the list ;) (Today, there’s 2 films on the list I haven’t seen). I must have seen atleast a hundred movies that have fallen off the list during the years (so, I’v actually watched something like the top 4-500 :))
I highly recommend getting a login @ twofifty.org so you can manage your list, and yes, it is possible :)
I started with all the video-stores, then the library, then remote loans on other libraries, then torrents, and even YouTube !!
Oh.. And it’s worth it.. Only a couple (2-3) of the movies were boring. All were good. Most of them, I would never have gotten to see if they were not on the list..
Purchased a compact 8 months ago.
Took 6758 photos the first 5 1/2 months. Then I got a job ;)
Plenty of material though, for the upcoming book and exhibition.
Even to the opposite side of Earth, as I did.. (Australia->Norway)
The quality and integrity on how things are done here is miles and miles ahead of the apathic employees and dodgy employers in Oz.
Oh, and it’s the money (I had a salary 1/3 of what I am on now, 6 months ago in Oz)
One year since I last posted, and Iv gone from 156/250 to 235/250.
Those last elusive ones are really hard to get a hold off, and now, with regular updates, it seems even more hard to reach the end.
Ticked one off last night though :)
Keep this on the daily ToDo list ;)
It’ll make you as happy as them, and you’ll have a reason to be so :)
Finding, and putting effort into a job certainly solves the lazyness. But I wouldn’t say it was less fun before..
Moved halfway around the globe (as far as one can go one way), Australia to Norway for a job that I now seem to love.
Found all the missing films at the library while home (in Norway) on a visit.. Such a buzzy time parteing, that when I left, I’d only managed to catch 3 outstanding ones..
So, back to Oz, and the hardship of finding good movies…
If you haven’t got it yet, better friggin speed things up and get the your bum outside your own little shitty country !!
Well, by the looks of things, this task will never end, but, atleast, I’v seen every episode so far (up last week’s S02E19)
.. Took over from skydiving as my activity, and replaced it nicely as I was broke, and it didn’t relly cost anythin :)
