Hmm, forgot to set a time limit! I’m giving it 2 months so should have it sorted by 18 August 2009.
This is a recent decision and one I’ve been avoiding for a while but I’ve come to the conclusion that if I’m going to get anywhere at all with my dancing I need to start taking it seriously. That means more dancing, working on flexibility/strength/fitness, and FINDING SOMEONE TO PRACTICE WITH!! Oh and doing another team routine wouldn’t harm either, but there aren’t any on at the moment.
I’m going to start by putting the word out and maybe mentioning it to a few friends and people I like dancing with. You never know, don’t ask don’t get.
What I’m looking for: someone of a similar or higher level of experience who I can get together with once or twice a week, either at a dance venue before a class (or during freestyle afterwards) or at some other venue. I’d like to compete as well but that might wait til next year. Ideally we could do a few workshops and private lessons together and work on perfecting old moves and learning new ones.
