Ok, so I got into some other things. Mostly writing for a local publication and a weird relationship and got distracted. But not too distracted. I’ve booked my ticket for NYC for the end of October and a return date of early November, however, I may just miss my flight if I’m not anxious to flee.

How I did it: Started listening to books on my ipod about how my thoughts shape my life. I'm learning to focus on the positives, envision good things for myself, speak positive words, think about others...... Read how I did it…
How I did it: Something about moving to New York made me want to look good. I put on make up, wear nice clothes and have my newly found smile on my face which is apparently rare in this city. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Stopped flat ironing and pressing. Grew out the perm 4 or 5 years ago. Wore hair in twists and box braids done with my own hair. Kept them in for two weeks at a time so I only manipulated my hair twice a month. Bought a couple of wigs for when I wanted variation and that's it. Read how I did it…

I’m going to move to New York or bust. I’m so sure that I have butterflies from the sheer idea of it. My mind is racing with the possibilities and the what if’s. I’m reading entries from people who’ve done this and I’m getting so excited. I’m ready to tell the Bay Area good bye and live out my dream of living in New York. I’ve never wanted anything so bad. I’m hella excited (bay area speak) I plan to live in a hostel for a while, until I find a job and or a place to sublet. I’m gonna be so proud of myself. I haven’t felt this way in a long time. NYC, I love you, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
