I said in my last entry that I was confident this relationship would last for a long time. Well, that was nearly a year ago, and we’re still together and as happy as ever :) We’ll be celebrating one year of dating on Sunday! Good luck to everyone working on this goal!

How I did it: I cut articles out of magazines, organized them according to category (Recipes, Home Décor, Party Ideas, etc.), and put them all in a 3" binder that has plenty of room for more! I'm always adding new things to it, especially recipes! Read how I did it…
How I did it: The person I've now been dating for about a year started out as a close friend. He had feelings for me a long time ago, but I was interested in someone else at the time. He was still always there for me though and became one of my closest friends. I knew I could tell him anything. Last year around Christmas, we had been talking a lot and spending time together, and I suddenly realized that I had feelings for him. Over the next couple of d… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I finally found someone I can say that to and mean it and have him understand. I think the first time was when I wrote it in a Valentine's Day card, followed by "Some things are just best said in French." Sean (my boyfriend of a year now) really is my raison d'être. I am completely in love with him and hope to marry him someday. Read how I did it…

I don’t think I’m quite ready to check this off the list just yet, but I’m making a lot of progress. I haven’t bitten any of my nails completely off in about a month now, although I have slipped up a couple times and “trimmed” them a bit with my teeth instead of a file. Still a big step in the right direction though, since I used to bite them completely off to the point where my fingers were bleeding and incredibly painful. I think I’ve started slipping up more since I’m back in my hometown on winter break from college, which is a change in routine and stress level. So I just need to pay more attention, use moisturizer, wear gloves whenever possible, and quit biting my cuticles and the skin around my nails, since even when I’m not biting my nails at all I still bite the skin around them. I think that’s been harder to stop because while I’m trying to wait for the skin to grow back completely, I end up with hangnails, which I bite off, thus starting the vicious cycle over again.
I’m currently in my second relationship, and I’m much happier now than I was the first time. The guy I’m dating has been one of my best friends for about a year, so we were already really close. We’ve only been dating for a few weeks, but I feel pretty confident that it will last for a long time.
