I was going to add this to my list but I found that it already existed. That’s encouraging. I’m going to concentrate on loving and hope that the other part will follow eventually, if I get good enough at the first part. Here’s a picture of me holding a sloth. I love sloths. Hard to say if a sloth can love you back. This one was a baby and was in captivity, sadly. Otherwise I would probably not have been able to hold it.

I recently graduated from a master’s program in clinical psychology and am starting my private practice. It’s strange to be in beginner mode this late in life (I’m 53). In the words of Thomas Jefferson, I am an old man but a young gardener.
Any suggestions from others out there about professional networking, marketing oneself, getting referrals, etc?
My psyche is lost in the city. It is adapted to live in bands of a hundred people or so, all of whom are linked together and known.
The happiest moments of my life have been when I’ve fallen in with some kind of accidental tribe. Why is it that kids all seem to be joining gangs?
I want to understand what a tribe is and find a way to live more tribally again. And I’m not talking about tatoos and drum circles.
