...the indents are done and drying in the spare room. Then on to the painting. Hurrah!

...I have the three outline skull shapes ready. Next I need to cut out the eye sockets and re-paper mache the space so there are little indents there. I went to the art shop today and bought gesso, acrylic paint and a couple of brushes. I have to go back though, because the paint set I bought didn’t have any black. I want one of the skulls to be black with white outlines so I can glue on the crystals and they can be seen properly. It’s taken quite a lot of work to make these critters, but I’ve really enjoyed it.
...and am now waiting for them to dry as well, before painting them. It’s quite a long process but I loved making the skulls themselves. I need to get some gesso and acrylic paint now to decorate them. Oh, and those crystals… I saw a book online yesterday with instructions on how to make a papier mache robot. I think I know what I’m gonna be doing next… :-)
I’ll upload some pics when they’re done (assuming they come out well).
